A friendly stray dog that followed me around when I visited the very old Dutch cemetry at the even older coastal trading town of Surat in the State of Gujrat, India. The Dutch and an older Armenian cemetery adjoin each other in the old part of Surat city. These cemeteries are full of history and were lying in a state of disrepair till recently the government started restoration work that seems to be still in progress. The relatively newer British cemetry is a little away and in a better condition. A trading town used by the Dutch and British, today Surat is a textile and diamond processing hub of India.
